Stephen O’Flaherty (FCCA) is a Partner in the Deal Advisory department at BDO Ireland. Stephen trained in industry (manufacturing) and thus has a deep understanding of the needs of business. Stephen also spent 5 years in banking focusing on new lending before joining BDO in 2017 specialising in Deal Advisory and Corporate Recovery with specific expertise in Debt Advisory. Stephen has held a number of non-executive directorships and was the 2018/2019 Chairman of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Ireland.

Stephen commenced his career in manufacturing and has since worked in both Practice and Financial Services before joining BDO in January 2017.

Stephen has held a number of non-executive directorships including that of Irelands healthcare regulator and has over 15 years’ experience in advising clients on strategic, governance and financial matters including corporate restructures and raising finance.
