BDO provided financial and tax due diligence services to Fairstone Ireland on their acquisition of Premier Financial.
Fairstone is a full-service asset management house that offers financial advice, investment management and estate planning services. Lee Hartley, the group’s CEO, founded Fairstone in 2008. The business has since expanded into the Irish Market under Fairstone Ireland which is managed by Paul Merriman.
Premier Financial is a retirement and pension advisory firm serving employees. The company is based in Kerry and is managed and owned by Denis Murphy. In FY Dec'22 the company reported a turnover of c. €0.8m.This is the third strategic acquisition completed by Fairstone Ireland using their unique downstream buy-out model (DBO). The DBO model allows companies to realise synergies that would be gained from a complete acquisition through the use of Fairstone's technology and resources creating a smoother integration pre-acquisition with the aim of maximising capital value.
